You need to know about the beliefs that made the war in Gaza, the preparation of the red heifers, and the rise of Temple Mount extremism in Israeli politics possible in order to understand what’s going on now. Some of those ideas are very old and come from Jewish prophecies, like the vision of the Third Temple in the Book of Ezekiel. The Scofield Reference Bible is a book that came out in 1909. Its long footnotes changed the way people read the Bible by putting it in a premillennial, dispensational context.
