Police have dismantled an organization involved in child trafficking and illegal surrogacy, operating under the cover of an orphanage. Seven children were rescued during the operation. Five main suspects have been arrested, including the orphanage manager (known as Madam Joy), a driver, and three other employees. The group recruited young pregnant women to sell their newborns for 1.5 million naira each. The manager confessed to having purchased a kidnapped baby for that amount.
