6 – Latter Day Prophets
Below are several prophets (as we were told there would be in these latter day)- so how do we know which are genuine ?
Acts 2.17 Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
- The KJV Standard: “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” (Isaiah 8:20) and “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God…” (1 John 4:1)
- What it means: A true prophet never contradicts the established Word of God. Any message that twists doctrine, minimizes sin, or denies Jesus Christ coming in the flesh is from a false spirit.
