Donald Trump was not dragged from any courtroom, and the claim stems from sensationalised internet video titles rather than real-world events.
The Origin of the Claim – The phrase comes from hyperbolic online commentary videos analysing the legal battles between President Donald Trump and former Special Counsel Jack Smith. In reality, the federal criminal cases brought by Smith regarding the 2020 election and the retention of classified documents were officially dismissed following Trump’s return to office is not new.
It is an audio tape from 2021 (publicly exposed by media outlets in mid-2023) in which Trump discussed a classified Pentagon planning document regarding Iran. On the tape, Trump explicitly noted that the document is highly confidential and acknowledges that he can no longer declassify it since he was no longer in office at that time, January 20, 2021, to January 20, 2025 when Biden was in.
